Intersculpt 2001 marked the second time that Fast-uk presented this
biennial exhibition of work and ideas that demonstrate the impact of
digital technologies on fine arts practice. Taking place at Manchester
Metropolitan University's Righton Gallery as part of Digital Summer's
[inter:face]01, the exhibition ran from the 7th - 20th November 2001.
Intersculpt 2001 was an interactive exhibition which featured works of
sculpture, digital imaging, installations, cyber/VR environments and
sound. Intersculpt is an internet linked international exhibition in
Asia, Australia, Europe, New Zealand and the United States. Intersculpt
2001 in Manchester featured the work of artists Keith Brown with Neil
Davies and Matthew C. Forman, Brit Bunkley, Roger Clarke, Christopher
Dean, Max Davison, Bruce Gernand, Hamish Marr, Franz Otto Novotny, Mark
Palmer and rootoftwo.
Intersculpt 2001 was supported by Digital Summer, AHRB (the arts and
humanities research board), Northwest Arts Board, 3D Systems, The Manchester
Metropolitan University, and De Montfort University. |
